Art Submission

This is my Submission for the art gallery I got the idea from the internet meme (pronounced mee mee) called “Forever Alone” because of the fact that the poor “subject” has no family or friends. I chose the background to be lightning because personally I think lightning is AWESOME. I then resized it and then burnt the image. I fixed up the colors using levels and color correction. Next I brought in the Forever Alone guy. I had to crop the white outline box to the best of my ability and then erase the rest so it was just the head; I then resized and sharpened the head to make it look better. I used 5 layers to complete this, 2 text, 1 the head, 1 the background and 1 for the background copy so I could mess around with the whole picture at once. During the process I had to adjust the layer order, the master opacity and change the blending of the face. The background was originally CMYK so I had to change it to RGB.  Cameron Mckeon

Four Images

1st Image

The first image is used with the "Rule Of Thirds" because the large barn is centered in the photo but i believe the person walking on the fence is the main focus because of the fact that he is on one of the intersects for the rule of thirds the other "subjects" are the group of buildings to the left and the tall grass field to the right.

2nd Image

This image uses the "Rule Of Thirds beacause of the lake which would be considered the main focus as well as the dock on one of the intersects that is coming out from the bottom of the image, also the mountains in the background really help to "fill" the image

3rd image

This image is really easy the man is on the left vertical intersect and the bird is on the cross point of the top horizontal and right vertical intersects together they are considered the main focus. The photogropher then blured out the background that also really helps show that the bird and man are the main focus.

Ideas for yearbook themes Sights Of Fall

I Cameron Mckeon will be creating a page for the yearbook with the title “ New Start”. This page will include seven images which will reflect the difficulties of a new student coming into an unfamiliar school and dealing with the frustrations of the first few days. I will set up these photos and direct my friends during am lunch and after school to illustrate such events as finding my locker, getting bumped around in the hallways, finding my bus, too many books, making new friends, lunch problems etc. I will use my friend Eric will photograph these situations with them and with their consent. I plan to have these images by Friday oct 29.

Make over

So this is the make over  that I did of myself. I personally think its a bad picture but anyways. I started by messing with the different protocols until I liked what I saw. then used the channel mixer to make it a monchrome/grayscale. I then spot healed and clone stamped used the surface blur then saved as a jpeg easy as that :)

September Light Project

This is the image I chose for the September Light Project.  I started by identifying what is in the rule of thirds area. I guess I am the main focus inside the image because I am staring right at the camera. Eric is the other "subject" in the image and he seems to be staring at me. As for the protocols I started by cropping Courtney out of the image because she did not want to be in the photo.  I then  burned the sky a little to give it a more "shadowy" effect. I then followed that by Grayscaling and turning the image into a duotone. I created a background copy of the image and playing with the contrast to darken the edges. I found that this made the image look like an old photo. overall I think that this was a good image to use for this project.

Layers Project

This is a picture that i believe mr. Tonn took im not a 100% sure but any way for this we were supposed to edit the image to make it look more dramtic.

Leading Lines

This image is a little different because most of the lines lead to Courtney who is really just hiding in the background. The object of this assignment was to place "the subject" in an area where people would notice them.
